Australian Palliative Care Conference 2017

Simon Chappel

Ubercare is the brainchild of South Australian businessman Simon Chappel. Ubercare has been developed in Adelaide and addresses two major trends within the Australian aged care industry – the increasing longevity of seniors, and rising consumer demand for in-home aged help. Launched in South Australia in March 2017, Ubercare has lofty goals to expand Australia wide and hopefully across the globe.

Mr Chappel is a born entrepreneur, with a successful history in retirement living and property development – including being a founding partner of the $165 million dollar Finders Link development and a founding partner of the $80 million dollar “On Statenborough” retirement village, that was awarded ‘Best Seniors Living’ in Australia 2012. He is dedicated to the notion of helping the ageing population to live well in their home.

For Mr Chappel, Ubercare presents endless opportunities for not only helping people, but also increased employment opportunities. “We can extend working prospects for experienced and qualified carers, as well as offer enthusiastic freshly trained people a new and innovative way to find work. The Ubercare model provides flexibility of working hours, it gives carers and clients alike independence and choice. It assists to take the load off our health system, and can provide families respite and peace of mind at the push of a button.”
