Natasha Stott Despoja AM, Chairperson of Our Watch

As the opening keynote presenter, Natasha Stott Despoja AM will be providing the audience with her valuable insight on community engagement, how to fight societal stigmatisation and making a difficult topic accessible through community mobilisation.

Ms Stott Despoja is the founding Chairperson of Our Watch, the former Ambassador of Australia for Women and Girls, a member of the World Bank Gender Advisory Council and on the United Nations High Level Working Group on the Health and Human Rights of Women, Children and Adolescents. In 2011, Natasha was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her service to the Australian Parliament, the nation’s education and her role as an advocate for women. Ms Stott Despoja has also collaborated with numerous charitable organisations, such as BeyondBlue,
Beanies for Brain Cancer Board, The Orangutan Project, secondbite, Ovarian Cancer Australia, and ENUF the HIV/AIDS anti-stigma campaign.

Given Natasha’s extensive political experience along with her passion for working with foundations, charities and community organisations, Natasha’s informed views will be sure to inspire the audience.
