Guidelines

In completing the application for a scholarship, you must ensure you comply with the Eligibility Criteria. You must also have an approval form signed by your supervisor to attend the conference should the scholarship be awarded to you and agree to be contacted after the conference.

In applying for the scholarship, you will be asked to detail what you want to achieve and how attending the conference pre-workshop and the conference will improve palliative care in your service or organisation.

As part of the scholarship, if successful, you will be required to complete a post-event scholarship survey following the conference that will provide PCA with suggestions for conference improvements. As well, you will be asked to identify any barriers in providing advance care planning, high quality care palliative care and end-of-life care and will be asked to provide suggestions that address any other barriers.

PCA will convene a panel to assess all scholarship applications.

Payment of scholarship monies

The scholarship will cover the costs of return travel from your home base to the conference city, Adelaide and airport transfers to your hotel. It will include accommodation for the nights of the pre-conference workshop and the conference, meals and conference registration.
