2017 Decision Assist and Palliative Care Australia
Continuing Professional Development Scholarships

You are invited to submit an application for the Decision Assist and Palliative Care Australia Continuing Professional Development Scholarships. The aim of the scholarships is to improve palliative care delivery in aged care by:

  • providing financial support to the aged care workforce that enables PCA conference attendance and associated networking opportunities
  • supporting individuals currently employed in a care capacity in rural, remote and regional areas to undertake relevant professional development
  • supporting individuals who are currently providing aged care to Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) or Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) communities to undertake relevant professional development.

Thirty-eight (38) successful applicants will receive from $3,000 to $3,900 (depending on geographic location) to meet costs. This will enable you to travel to and attend the Australian Palliative Care Conference from Wednesday 6 – Friday 8 September 2017 and a pre-conference workshop on Tuesday 5 September 2017.

The Australian Palliative Care Australia Conference (APCC17) is being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
